This weekend in Wellard we welcome home the popular ‘Drapac – Cannondale’ rider Theo Yates. Yates, coming off a 2018 I’m sure he would like to forget has burst back on to the National scene with many top 10 finishes during the 2019 Summer.

Yates started the year of with a solid 5th place in the Elite Australian Criterium Championships at the FedUni Australian National Road Championships in the City of Ballarat in Victoria.

Followed up by a win in the final stage of the 2.2 UCI New Zealand Cycle Classic where his Drapac Cannondale team featured prominently.

After finishing the Herald Sun Tour last week, Yates is home for a week before heading back to Victoria to compete in the NRS Classic – Melbourne to Warrnambool.

Yates is a big supporter of local racing and is always present whenever he is back on WA soil, so get yourself down to Wellard for Round two of the Ring Summer Criterium Series to watch all the action starting from 12.20 pm this Sunday.
